As a Trade Manager, you will oversee the team to ensure maximum loading efficiency and an optimal cargo mix.
- Closely monitor market trends and develop pricing strategies based on seasonality and competition, aligning with financial goals using both internal and external data.
- Generate reports on business performance, identify budget discrepancies, propose corrective measures, and enhance processes.
- Collaborating with operations, accounts, and sales teams, you’ll drive business performance.
- Your role also involves liaising with vendors to address operational or pricing issues, maintaining client relationships, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Evaluating and sharing key performance indicators, you’ll develop both short and long-term action plans in response to allocation challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in Maritime, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the shipping industry, preferably in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, a positive learning attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including Pivot Table & VLOOKUP).
