Description:

TRADE LANE SUPPORT

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as Trade Lane Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English, with basic proficiency in German being advantageous but not mandatory. This role involves issuing quotes to our partners worldwide, managing rates from trucking partners across Europe, and ensuring the timely update of monthly tariffs. The Trade Lane Specialist will collaborate closely with our operations teams to facilitate efficient business closure and play a vital role in the implementation of new trade lanes, working closely with our partners around the world. Good knowledge of Excel is highly appreciated.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in English is essential; basic proficiency in German is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or transportation industry is advantageous but not mandatory.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Issuing Quotes: Generate and send quotes to partners globally in accordance with company guidelines and pricing strategies.
  • Rate supervision: Gather rates from trucking partners across Europe and maintain an updated database of rates for various trade lanes.
  • Tariff Maintenance: Monitor and update monthly tariffs for partners, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with operations teams to coordinate business closures and ensure seamless execution of transactions.
  • New Lane Implementation: Participate in the implementation of new trade lanes, providing support in pricing and documentation as required.
  • Quotation supervision: Monitor and manage the daily flow of quotations to agents, ensuring timely responses and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Excel Expertise: Utilize Excel proficiency to update and maintain tariff records accurately.
