What You Will Do
Lead Trade Operations for all markets in Metro Asia * ensuring effective Import & Export management and processes are in place across Finished Goods and Raw Materials (including APIs) to ensure sustained full regulatory compliance and maximise value obtained (eg through optimised leverage of Free Trade Arrangements). This role has operational responsibility across all Metro Asia markets for managing Imports, custom clearance, sustained process and data compliance, supporting NPI/NPD plans and execution of FTA opportunities.
Steer Execution of Key Deliver Programs for markets in the Metro Asia* region. This role will connect key regional Deliver programs (typically connected to new capabilities and/or opportunities) into specific market execution plans and be responsible for effective execution and value realization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, Operations Research/Management Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience; critically including experience in import/export operations and E2E supply chain operations
  • 5+ years of work experience in roles specifically covering Trade Compliance responsibilities for imports and exports
  • Proven experience managing external vendors including contract/SLA management
  • Proven track record of delivering cost and cash savings plus improvements in supply chain agility, service and sustainability
  • Strong knowledge/expertise in the area of Trade Compliance
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain and key performance indicators.
  • Successfully lead and implemented large scale/complex projects across multiple markets
  • People management experience; strong leadership/influencing skills.
  • Good presentation and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Experience in relevant FMCG industry

Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Trade Operations
  • Manage Import and Export compliance activities in adherence to Foreign Trade Policies, Customs Laws and other relevant statutory Laws/Acts/standards (including Kenvue Standards) - including records keeping, accurate customs declarations and shipping documentations correctness.
  • Manage Trade Compliance data for Metro Asia markets (Pricing, Import duties paid, HS Codes, COO data) ensuring all dependent databases are maintained including SAP.
  • Liaison with Customs Authorities (relating to inquiries/audits and rulings applications and facilitate connections with each stakeholder function as per the Trade Compliance R&R matrix.
  • Evaluate, leverage and maintain compliance requirements for Special Trade Programs such as Free Trade Agreements – facilitate effective cross-functional governance for opportunity identification and execution
  • Vendor management – is responsible for managing the relationships and contracts with brokers, consultants & other service providers to ensure contract/SLA expectations are met
  • Work closely with E2E teams for all NPD/NPI/LCM initiatives ensuring Trade Operations requirements are completed as per plan with full value realization and sustained compliance.
  • Develop SOPs & Process to ensure Global Trade Compliance standards, processes and tools are deployed into the market and ensuring the SOPs are being kept updated to reflect the new processes
  • Support any internal Trade Compliance audits/reviews and own any trade compliance corrective actions.
  • Monitor and communicate to stakeholders any Customs and Trade Regulatory trends & changes that may have impact to Kenvue
  • Coordinate with regional and cross-functional colleagues in leading the transition of Trade Operations responsibilities for Raw and Packaging materials (to also come under this role)
  1. Metro Asia Deliver Program Leadership
  • Own the program of priority Deliver new initiatives for Metro Asia, acting as the key Point of Contact between the regional Deliver DRI and each relevant market team in Metro Asia
  • Own the overall cost improvement program (target setting, coordinating action plans across markets, workshops to close gaps) for Deliver in Metro Asia
  • Steer the execution of Deliver capabilities in Metro Asia, coordinating with Regional/Global Process owners
  • Develop market-specific execution plans, in consultation with market leads, for major regional Deliver programs inclusive of market-specific target setting, deployment timeline setting and program monitoring. Note : this only relates to major regional programs – ongoing market-specific projects will be led by the individual market teams

THIS ROLE WILL THUS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DELIVERING THE FOLLOWING OUTCOMES :-

  • Highly optimised trade compliance and Duty payment arrangements (including FTA leverage) across Metro Asia markets
  • No disruption or financial impact linked to Trade Compliance for Import of goods within Metro Asia – sustained high levels of compliance
  • High levels of data accuracy across Trade Compliance eg HS code accuracy, COO data
  • Effective execution of contracts/SLAs from each Trade Compliance vendor as per defined expectations
  • Annual improvement in Distribution cost % NTS, sustainability and Free cash flow through execution of execution of new regional Deliver programs in Metro Asia
  • Enabling NTS growth – effective completion of Trade Compliance requirements for NPD/NPI/LCM projects
