Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • This role is responsible for the full meal deal calendar and strategy across a 12 month trading period. You will work alongside an Analyst to look at the Ocado meal deal performance data, teamed with market wide data. Based on this knowledge you will develop a strong trading plan to be rolled out and built alongside the support of lead Buyers
  • You will have the part time support of two Admin Assistants, with a dotted line into this role. Their focus will be supporting the admin linked to promo set up, document curation and collating buyer / supplier feedback and changes in the central files
  • You will build strong relationships with supply chain to ensure all meal deals are on track with strong availability
  • You will build strong relationships with the M&S central team & Ocado Buyers to share knowledge and make the most of upcoming opportunities
  • You will have a strong eye for detail as it will require data checks each phase, ensuring we have the best plan in place to maximise the commercial opportunities
  • Commercial acumen will be key to ensure you are always evaluating the deals to maximise the opportunity for the total business and the best deal for the customer
  • You will work with Marketing and Merchandising to build the strongest customer marketing plans

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and deliver the meal deal calender and strategy for the financial year
  • Oversee the entire process, from scoping to implementation, and keep all stakeholders accountable for their steps in the process
  • Develop best practices, processes, and guidelines to deliver the meal deal strategy
  • Work closely with Marketing and Merchandising teams to support customer trade plans, identify opportunities for meal deals to be featured and react to any changes
  • Own the relationship with M&S central team and work collaboratively on any joint Dine In plans
  • Own the relationship with Supply Chain and work collaboratively to ensure the best product availability and drive educated forecasting decisions
  • Create meal deal menus aiming for the best on-the-market customer offering while delivering the value to the business
  • Monitor onsite and off-site media assets featuring meal deals
  • Monitor meal deal performance to support trade KPI targets
  • Develop and provide day-to-day coaching and feedback to supporting admins to ensure they exceed their targets and expand their knowledge of the meal deal strategy and process
