Description:

UGL’s Maintenance and Manufacturing business have experienced growth within our Locomotive Components Division based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW and we are looking for a Trades Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.
This role is paid under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working Monday – Friday from 5.30am – 2.30pm on a 9-day fortnight with every second Friday off.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working in our locomotive components team assisting our trades, If you have a mechanical background or interest in mechanical work this would be highly desirable.

TASKS

  • Disassemble components.
  • Assembly of components – overhaul.
  • Complete quality documentation
  • Assisting trades with variety of tasks
  • Cleaning parts
  • Spray painting traction motors, compressors and components
  • Wash bay operation.
