New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) are looking for a trade-qualified Tradesperson Electrical to join our Reduction Maintenance team. The successful candidate will join the Monday – Friday Roster 3 shift pattern. This shift comprises of a 2 week rotation, working day shift 8am – 4pm for the first week and 4pm to 12am the second week.

Reporting to our Crew Leaders and Superintendent, you’ll join our close-knit, proud and hardworking teams following a structured process to optimise preventative maintenance tactics and minimise overall business costs. With a demonstrated commitment to improving safety, cost and productivity, responsibilities include:

  • Performs maintenance tasks.
  • Identifies defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health raising notifications and competing work orders.
  • Supports the defect elimination process and contributes to the work management analysis.
  • Ensures work management activities are undertaken in line with work order/job instructions.
  • Undertakes post maintenance equipment commissioning and clean-up.

You will have opportunity to utilise your strong problem-solving skills to add value through identifying and implementing improvement initiatives and applying robust defecting elimination practices.
