Description:

Susquehanna International Group (SIG) is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Options Trading desk. In this role, you will work with Quantitative research and Trading to rapidly iterate and develop trading signals, tools and strategies used by the Options trading desk. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of quant studies and trading, requiring tight coupling and collaboration between these domains.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing client/server applications using Python and C# as primary development languages. Collaborating closely with core development/engineering teams, for various aspects of quantitative analysis, trading strategies and signals developments.
What you can expect from us:
Real Impact: By integrating sophisticated coding techniques with innovative engineering ideas, we design and optimize systems that can process massive amounts of data while still ensuring high performance and stability. You’ll play a crucial role in the integration of team efforts with the trading process, quickly iterating alongside quants and traders to deliver impactful trading tools and services.
Collaboration: You will partner closely with our Trading, Quantitative Researchers, Infrastructure and Strategy Developer Teams to develop and manage scalable and highly performant systems to support trading in the region.

We’re looking for people who are naturally curious, relentless problem solvers, and have the desire to continuously innovate, learn, and grow.
Benefits: SIG offers a wide array of competitive employee perks & benefits.

What we’re looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in software development (Python, C#, or Java) and 3+ years in backend systems level development (Python).
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Eagerness to learn about both the business and technology aspects of trading.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Expert Knowledge of financial markets and derivatives products.

About SIG:
SIG is a global quantitative trading firm founded by a group of friends who share a passion for game theory and probabilistic thinking. We have incorporated this approach into our culture, where you will find relentless problem solvers within each of our core disciplines: Trading, Technology, and Quantitative Research. From offices around the world, our employees collaborate to make optimal decisions and are driven by the desire to achieve winning results together.
What we do:
We are experts in trading essentially all listed financial products and asset classes, with a focus on derivatives trading. Through market making and market taking, we handle millions of trading transactions around the world every day, providing liquidity and ensuring competitive prices for buyers and sellers. While our presence in the market is broad, our trading desks are highly specialized, allowing for a deep understanding of unique drivers of each asset class.
