WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

To achieve the above, we are looking for a talented, confident, and commercially savvy individual with a proven track record of driving retail sales and profit. You will have the ability to switch from day-to-day operations and taking a strategic view of the retail stores. A team player working who works collaboratively with their peers within the department and the wider organisation.
You will be passionate about retail, a people person, have a pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude and comfortable to work alongside retail teams and volunteers to drive retail income. You are not afraid to suggest new and/or better ways of working which are supported by clear evidence. You’ll be fluent in articulating these ideas in a positive and supportive way, achieving buy-in at all levels through effective leadership.
Your excellent communication and engagement skills will adapt your style to suit the audience in front of you for both internal and external stakeholders. You will act has an ambassador for Compton upholding the highest levels of integrity. You will be committed to promoting a culture where your staff feel empowered and accountable for the service they provide, whilst ensuring team and individual objectives are met or exceeded. A good sense of humour is always welcome along with the resilience to enable you to reach out to successfully to meet the objectives for your department.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Senior Trading Team and reporting directly to the Associate Director of Trading, the Trading Sales Manager will have the autonomy to develop strategies to deliver sustainable income from a portfolio of stores. Holding overall responsibility for all Retail Field Teams, Online Team, Store Teams, and Volunteers.
This role will be critical in creating a climate and culture which is both purpose-led and values-led which enables our people to realise their potential within a supportive, safe, continuous improvement and learning environment, conducive to positive levels of health and well-being.
This is a true leadership role where you will be expected to work well under pressure, manage their own workload to achieve objectives and demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, leadership and fairness at all times. You will be able to effectively coach, manage and motivate your team to reach their full potential and uphold our organisational values.
