Description:

We are excited to be able to offer a Trading Standards Enforcement Practitioner post within Public Protection at North Lincolnshire Council.
North Lincolnshire has established itself as a great place to live, work, invest and visit. Our rural setting, with picturesque villages with routes for cycling and walking also acts as a global gateway for international business, with excellent links by road, rail, bus, sea and air. This fantastic combination, alongside our historic market towns, excellent educational establishments and close proximity to major cities such as Hull, Lincoln and York, makes North Lincolnshire a place that is valued by those who choose to live and work here.

We are seeking applicants with an interest in working within a busy Trading Standards Team. The post would provide an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of working within the area of Trading Standards.
It is expected the applicant will work across all areas of Trading Standards functions from time to time. As such, no specific specialism is required. This is also a career graded post, as such no formal Trading Standards qualifications are required. However, we would welcome applications from Officers with knowledge and experience of working within a regulatory environment.
Applicants must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated and able to progress work with minimal supervision. Candidates should be methodical and well organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
It is essential that applicants hold a full driving licence and can provide a car or other means of transport to undertake this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of North Lincolnshire’s residents and meet the council’s outcomes of being safe and well. We are a progressive employer with flexible and agile working arrangements.
For further details or an informal discussion please contact Richard Copley, Head of Service – Trading Standards & Licensing, on 01724 297649.
We are collectively organised around the people and place of North Lincolnshire. Together we ensure that our communities are safe, well, prosperous and connected. We are ambitious for North Lincolnshire, we want our area to be the #BestPlace for our residents by being the #BestCouncil we can be.
