We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic officer to join a team committed to providing support to businesses in the city, whilst robustly tackling illegal trading activities, using the full range of tools and techniques available. Working as part of a busy team you will focus on food standards inspections across the city and will be involved in other areas of Trading Standards as and when required.
You will hold the relevant formal qualification for undertaking food standards inspections, either via a Trading Standards or Environmental Health background.
You will be organised and have flexibility to work occasional unsocial hours. Above all, you will be able to deal sympathetically with members of the public, and businesses, while also being confident in your ability to handle difficult and challenging situations.
