Responsibilities:
THIS ROLE HAS A STARTING SALARY OF £31,262 PER ANNUM, BASED ON A 36-HOUR WORKING WEEK.
We are excited to be hiring a new Trading Standards Officer (Level 1) to join our fantastic team based in Aylesbury. The Trading Standards team carries out work to protect consumers and support legitimate businesses to thrive. This is delivered by enforcing relevant legislation and providing advice.
You will be able to work from home, in the community and in the office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Trading Standards Officer, you will focus on investigations and disruptions, along with broader Trading Standards enforcement work. There will be the opportunity to be involved in a range of trading standards work as capacity permits, including investigating of breaches of consumer legislation, reading and interpreting legislation and giving evidence at court for both criminal and civil trials.
You will be aware of all policies and procedures that relate to our enforcement activities and understand areas of consumer and business detriment, and participate in proactive work focussing on areas of highest detriment.
