We are currently recruiting for a Trading Underwriter to join our established and experienced Commercial Lines Operations & Trading team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your role
As a trading underwriter, you will underwrite existing business cases for negotiation and support allocated cases to achieve business development and retention targets.
You will spend the majority of your time applying a range of underwriting, sales, and customer management approaches and techniques to effectively acquire and renew profitable Commercial Property Owners’ business.
In addition, you will use your relationship management and strong communication skills to work closely with other elements of the trading team to deliver brilliant service. You will be respected internally and externally for your underwriting knowledge and excellent technical skills.
About you
You will have previous experience with commercial property insurance, working directly with brokers, and in a customer service environment.
You will have broad experience across multiple business lines, products, and customer types. Developing excellent external networks and relationships with clients and intermediaries are essential.
You will be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Excel and working in a fast-paced environment.
