KDays is Edmonton’s largest summer festival—a ten-day extravaganza of music, rides, food, and adventure. It will take place at the Edmonton EXPO Centre grounds from July 19 - 28, 2024. KDays features indoor entertainment and acres of outdoor attractions.
The Edmonton EXPO Centre is seeking Train Engineers who will play a crucial role in operating the KDays miniature steam-engine train, a unique and exciting opportunity, throughout the ten-day extravaganza from July 19 – 28, 2024.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Operating the miniature steam engine train throughout KDays 2024.
• Inspecting the train before and after runs, and reporting any issues, if required.
• Performing basic maintenance when required.
• Monitoring meters and gauges on board.
• Communicating with passengers and/or bystanders.

The successful candidates will have:

• 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket or higher is required.
• Previous experience driving steam engine trains is considered an asset.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

• Operating the miniature steam engine train throughout KDays 2024.
• Inspecting the train before and after runs, and reporting any issues, if required.
• Performing basic maintenance when required.
• Monitoring meters and gauges on board.
• Communicating with passengers and/or bystanders
