The Australian arm of Volvo Financial Services forms part of the Volvo Group Australia umbrella and provides truck and equipment finance. The team are looking for a self-motivated Trainee Accountant to work in a casual role for a 6 month period, with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

At Volvo Financial Services (VFS) you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As a Trainee Accountant you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of daily banking and reconciliations
  • Populate new business register and prepare dashboards
  • Assist with various financial analysis and reporting
  • Collect and collate information to produce accurate and relevant reports
  • Support the team with two financial system projects
  • Assist the team with other day to day activities

  • Currently be completing a degree – Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Finance or similar (this role would ideally suit a 2nd or 3rd year student)
  • Be competent with the Microsoft Office suite and Teams (or similar instant collaboration platforms)
  • Have initiative and personal drive to manage your own work under guidance
  • Be a confident and thoughtful communicator
  • Show that you are a team player with a good work ethic and attention to detail
  • Have the ability to follow working procedure
