Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a friendly and dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with significant acute care experience to join an established team of ACP’s embedded within the unit as part of the medical team.
We would like to hear from experienced registered healthcare professionals who are critical thinkers and are passionate about transforming care within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
You will be practising under supervision as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) within their designated directorate in order to provide patient-centred quality care.
The role will encompass the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice. You will (under supervision of a senior clinician), assist in the safe assessment, treatment, referral and discharge of patients in their designated directorate.
Supported by the Trust, you will develop your knowledge and skills in the management of a wide array of both Trauma and Orthopaedic and medical presentations and develop a high level of autonomy. You will also be required and supported to complete an MSc in Advanced Practice and core and speciality competencies relevant to your role. Throughout your training, you will have the opportunity for personal development in the four pillars of advanced practice.
Applications are invited from interested individuals with qualifications that meet the national apprenticeship standards (eg. level 2 Maths and English) or those who have significant experience in enhanced/advanced level practice. You must have professional registration which gives you the ability to prescribe as you will be undertaking Non-medical prescribing as part of the MSc Advanced Practice at the University of Hull. Practical training within Trauma and Orthopaedics will take place during the 3 year training period.
Upon successful completion of the training programme as a Qualified ACP you will progress to AFC Band 8a.
If you are looking for a challenging yet rewarding position we would welcome your application. We are therefore looking for individuals who have significant post-qualifying experience and have the drive, ambition and positivity to make this role succeed.
