Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

In partnership with Aotearoa Energy, and located in Auckland, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn broking from the ground up, to develop a long term and rewarding career in an exciting and changing sector. The role will focus on energy as part of a small cohesive team, which forms part of a larger and very successful energy team.
If you’re passionate or simply curious about energy, keen to know about the wholesale electricity market this exciting role provides an opportunity for a career that will allow you to explore fully. The electricity sector in New Zealand primarily uses renewable energy, such as hydropower, geothermal power and increasingly wind energy and you’re promised exposure and the opportunity to carve out a career in this highly dynamic market.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

In the first three months, you’ll develop an understanding of the requirements of the role and begin to support our senior brokers. You’ll be creating reports, using our company systems and providing updates from those systems to the senior brokers. You’ll be responsible for updating real-time manual and electronic whiteboards, provide trade details to brokers and provide live quotes to brokers through the messaging systems.
Within six months, you’ll be regularly liaising with clients to understand the business objectives of your clients and, the onboarding of new clients along with attending client visits.
You’ll be developing new business with existing clients.
Beyond six months, who knows, with attention and enthusiasm, the sky is the limit.
