The successful candidate will ideally have worked as an Operator within the mining industry - underground coal experience would be highly advantageous.

The Role: As a Trainee CRO at Cook Colliery, you will be provided with a structured traineeship designed to provide the necessary skills and experience for a long career in the mining industry. We offer an attractive rotation (7/7 roster), along with a competitive salary for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities: During your traineeship, you will gain:

• Hands-on Experience: Collaborate with experienced professionals, actively participating in control room operations to refine your practical skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Develop a robust understanding of control room equipment, monitoring systems, and emergency protocols, laying the foundation for future expertise.
• Safety Focus: Gain insights into safety procedures, learning how to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to the efficient coordination of operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Live locally to Blackwater
• Able to commit to a rotating 7/7 roster
• Willing to work in an underground environment (coal)
• Year 12 completion or equivalent
• Experienced in utilising Microsoft Office suite
• Willing to commit to further studies
• Previous experience working as an Operator within a coal environment (highly advantageous)
• Previous experience working in a mining or hard rock environment would be highly advantageous
• Standard 11 & Coal Board medical current - highly desirable
