OUR OPPORTUNITY

Due to continued growth, NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation are seeking a Trainee Laser Technician who will work on a variety of projects. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Narellan NSW.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Set up and operate TRUMPF Laser, CNC Laser Cutting machines.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings.
  • Setup jobs and efficiently operate the lasers as per productions schedule.
  • Monitor machine operations and address any issues or malfunctions that may arise.
  • Maintain and clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines.

The Right Person

To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:

  • Strong focus on safety
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience in machine operation in a manufacturing environment, or a willingness to learn.
  • Correct manual handling techniques.
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and at a reasonably fast pace.
  • Forklift licence
  • Own transport is preferred.
