OUR OPPORTUNITY
Due to continued growth, NEPEAN Engineering & Innovation are seeking a Trainee Laser Technician who will work on a variety of projects. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Narellan NSW.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate TRUMPF Laser, CNC Laser Cutting machines.
- Reading and interpreting drawings.
- Setup jobs and efficiently operate the lasers as per productions schedule.
- Monitor machine operations and address any issues or malfunctions that may arise.
- Maintain and clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines.
The Right Person
To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:
- Strong focus on safety
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in machine operation in a manufacturing environment, or a willingness to learn.
- Correct manual handling techniques.
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual, with attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and at a reasonably fast pace.
- Forklift licence
- Own transport is preferred.
