JOIN US AS OUR NEW TRAINEE OFFSHORE SURVEYOR

DOF is growing and we are now looking for new Trainee Offshore Surveyors to join our team. As a trainee within the Survey & Inspection Department, you will work offshore on our vessels and receive comprehensive training in survey practices, procedures and processes utilised within the DOF Group.
This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work in a dynamic envirorment operating survey-related equipment, collecting and recording survey data, processing said data, presenting it and understanding its value and importance to an end client. Offshore operations are very much team orientated and you will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with people from different parts of the world.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A higher education in hydrography or land surveying is preferred, although similar subjects will be considered
  • A valid safety training and medical certificate is advantageous but not essential
  • Good oral communication and written skills in English and preferably Norwegian
  • Enjoy working in a multi-cultural and collaborative environment
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
    The role reports to the Survey & Inspection Manager based in Bergen, but will have a global footprint where one week you could be working in the North Sea, and the next travelling to the Gulf of Mexico or the Philippines.
