Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Completing the necessary training to obtain the Shunter qualification.
- Following the direction of the Tutor Shunter, contribute to the timely, safe and efficient marshalling and shunting of trains by performing shunting duties in accordance with Queensland Rail’s Governance and Management Framework.
- Under the direction of the Foreman Shunter/Shunter In Charge, receive instructions of the consists of trains and Rollingstock and learn how to dispatch trains from the Mayne Rail Complex in a timely manner to ensure quality customer service and
- Gain a thorough knowledge in the operation of points within yard operations.
