Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives is looking for a Technology Trainee to join our Electrification Business Unit in Vaasa.
As a trainee in the Technology Team, you will become an active part of a passionate team and be given an opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally. The technology team is working on future technologies in the areas of power converters for electrolyzers in green hydrogen, smart grid & energy storage, high power charging as well electrification of ports and vessels.
Danfoss Drives have got funding for 5 years from Business Finland Veturi program where future electrification technologies are developed. Danfoss Veturi program transfers you to a Fossil Free Future with an intelligent power electronics ecosystem. Mission of the program is to lead, guide and support an ecosystem in which power electronics form the basis for developing intelligent, sustainable, and cost-effective, fossil-free solutions for electric energy transition. BACKGROUND & SKILLS

For you to shine in this position, following background and skills will be useful:

  • Studying for M.Sc. degree that contains studies related to Electrical Engineering, Power/Energy Systems for green energy transition, Power Electronics, Industrial Engineering and Management.
  • Willingness to learn how to distil relevant technical and business aspects from large context.
  • Collaboration skills and ability to build networks.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
  • We expect you to have good communication skills in both Finnish and English, including ability to run meetings in both languages. Swedish language is seen as an asset.

Additionally, you are a team player who can take initiative and you are eager to develop your skills, professionally and personally.

Responsibilities:

By taking this exciting challenge to join us as our Technology Trainee your main tasks will include:

  • Create and document the technology themes to be developed under Veturi program.
  • Apply for Veturi and EU funding calls where main contribution is to define the technology topics.
  • Interact with value chain partner customers from Finland who aim to be part of Veturi or EU funded projects.
  • Support internally in coordination and documentation of technology projects.
