We are searching for the best talent for Trainer I to be in Juarez.
Purpose:
The Trainer trains and qualifies direct manufacturing personnel following the corresponding procedures and using documents, materials, and tools relevant to the different operations they support. Enables skills development through training, certification and coaching in the Job Instruction (JI) skill set for SMEs (subject matter experts) / certified associates acting as on the job trainer. Manages Learning Management System (LMS) data related to the certification process supported in the company. Partners with management to evaluate the effectiveness of current training practices. Helps in the identification of skills that should be focused on to improve site training efficiency and productivity.
You will be responsible for:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures all manufacturing personnel are trained and qualified to the corresponding specifications/procedures using documents, materials, and tools as provided in the applicable training curriculum(s).
  • Executes and/or coordinates training plan for assigned production areas aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Subscribes to the training curriculums and all applicable documents related to designated areas of responsibility; Maintains knowledge and skills in all production operations (manufacturing processes) within areas of responsibility.
  • Maintains training reports and records (training matrixes, logbooks, reports).
  • Attends production meetings of designated areas on a regular basis.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation as needed (theory and practical).
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules occasionally to accommodate training and delivery needs.
  • Know and comply with all environmental, occupational health, safety, and sustainability regulations established by company; Ensures proper safety procedures and practices are utilized.
  • Executes any other activity required by Training Leader.
  • Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety and occupational health policies. (for example, ISO 13485, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001).
  • Teaches and certifies selected personnel to execute the responsibility of Job Instructors (JI), applying
  • the TWI methodology, for On-the-Job Training (OJT).
  • Drafts, revises and coaches others in the drafting of Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) for new or existing jobs/activities, ensuring adherence to guidelines and best practices.
  • Ensures all personnel required to be certified are appropriately trained, qualified, and certified.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and requirements:

  • High School or equivalent is minimum required.
  • 2 – 4 years in a training position is preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing; multi-functional knowledge in various areas of production.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office —Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Presentation skills knowledge or ability.
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to deliver training and qualify to Train the Trainer.
  • Multifunctional; Knowledge in several production areas.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • High level of visual ability.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Computational skills (preferable).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skill.
  • Good understanding of Safety, Ergonomics and International Standards requirements (ISO).
