Description:

As the leading provider of road safety training and driver risk management we have a rare opportunity to join our Trainer Services Management Team to support the delivery of our broad range of driver training courses to over 700,000 professional drivers and drivers referred by the Police or Courts throughout the UK, more details of which can be found here.
Working closely with our National Trainer Services Manager, Academy and operations team you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of Assistant Regional Managers and our nationwide panel of professional trainers (outside IR35) within your designated region (North or South).
Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with governing bodies and company policies, maintaining quality assurance standards, managing resources effectively, stakeholder engagement, overseeing trainer welfare and support their sourcing, development and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Regional Coordinators and to regional trainers.
  • Motivate and manage the trainer panel, leveraging Regional Coordinators’ support as necessary.
  • Trainer Welfare:
  • Serve as the single point of contact for trainer welfare concerns, including health, family, and payment inquiries.
  • Compliance and Standards:
  • Support managers to ensure trainer compliance is maintained within governing bodies’ regulations and company policies.
  • Uphold company standards of excellence and service to ensure quality performance.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement a monitoring program to support TTC’s Internal Quality Assurance team for all on location/ field training activities.
  • Trainer Sourcing and Development:
  • Support scheme managers in sourcing, selecting, appointing and inducting trainers as required.
  • Venue Management:
  • Work with Police Relationship Consultants to identify and secure new venues, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with governing body guidance and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with venue management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Support TTC Relationship teams as required with regional updates to stakeholders such as Police, TfL, UKROEd, DfT, and DVSA if required.
  • Thematic Initiatives:
  • Support departments as required, including Diversity & Inclusion (HR) Safeguarding (HR), and Welsh Language compliance (Welsh PRC).
  • Communication and Support:
  • Maintain effective communication with Training Services Manager, Regional Coordinators, Police Relationship Consultants, and Trainers.
  • Provide support in investigating and resolving complaints and action notices from QA and governing body EQA assessments.
