Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Training – AgriBusiness Operations, the Training Advisor is an intermediate role responsible for supporting the development and execution of targeted training programs, resources and tools that support the sale and service of products to our customers and members across the network that deliver to business objective and the short & long term financial results of UFA businesses. This position will work closely with the designated business stakeholders to identify training needs, develop content, reference materials and deliver and/or coordinate e-courses, in-store, classroom training, webinars, blending learning programs and their supporting resources.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Build effective relationships with business unit leaders and subject matter experts (SME) to evaluate business requirements, identify and prioritize the development of learning resources and programs to meet business needs.
  • Perform end-to-end (business needs analysis, solutions design, development, and delivery) e-learning resource development and instructor lead training in order to deliver integrated, comprehensive solutions that transfer agricultural product knowledge that supports overall sales and service.
  • Coordinate vendor training and/or lead in house training workshops in the field to support and develop product knowledge and support the overall development of employees.
  • Manage the day to day operations of the training programs including creating and maintaining student curriculums, reporting, and general administration and responding to employee inquiries. Execution of tactics and development programs as outlined in the annual training plan.
  • Create, maintain and update process documentation for the systems for reference and training purposes.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Human Resources or other relevant Business Management area.
  • 5 years of relevant training experience.
  • Agricultural experience and knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of adult learning theory and application, e-learning design, development and delivery.
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information to provide fit for purpose recommendations in order to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead and inspire learners through all communication channels.
  • A valid driver’s license is required. Ability to travel throughout the UFA network extensively (50% - 80% of time per business needs) throughout the UFA network.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suites. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe and Teams
