Toyo Tires is seeking a qualified Training and Development Specialist to join our team. The Training & Development Specialist will take charge of crafting and executing programs to foster employees’ professional growth. They collaborate with individuals, teams, or even entire organizations to guarantee that everyone receives the requisite training for their advancement. Their responsibilities include:
- Assessing training needs. Specialists gather information from employees, managers, and other instructors using surveys, interviews, and consultations.
- Creating and preparing training materials. After reviewing and creating various training materials, specialists choose the most appropriate medium, including manuals, online learning environments, and other course materials.
- Training employees. Specialists train employees through seminars, workshops, and one-on-one training sessions using various instructional techniques.
- Handling administrative tasks, including tracking related expenditures, scheduling classes, integrating different systems and other equipment, enrolling employees, evaluating existing training programs, and selecting and booking venues as needed.
- Acting as an employee liaison. Training and development specialists support and mentor new employees while also monitoring and presenting employee performance and tracking employee attendance.
- Managing training budgets. Most companies allocate a certain amount of money for their training and development programs, and it’s up to specialists to provide this training while remaining within the budget.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
- Ability to facilitate training and speak effectively before both groups and individuals
- Adaptable and innovative in the design and execution of programs, processes, and solutions
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional experience in a Human Resources department or Manufacturing environment
- Ability to design and develop content for multiple courses across multiple development methods such as eLearning, Instructor-Led, and Virtual Classroom Training, without supervision
- Strong organizational skills to ensure the right people complete the proper training.
- Ability to learn multiple tire divisions.
EXPERIENCE
Required
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional experience in a Human Resources department or Manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration or related field

Responsibilities:
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:
- Functions as a subject matter expert in at least one line of business and creates and updates training curriculum as needed
- Work closely with WDS to complete the needed assessments for Training Coaches, create the Content for Monthly Coaches’ Meetings, and monitor CTC performance.
- Work closely with Sr. Talent Development Specialist to identify appropriate training for frontline leadership.
- Create and records, reports, and other documentation of training activities
- Represent the Training team in meetings with business partners, leadership, and project teams
- Function as a performance consultant, collaborating with Process and Operations to perform needs assessment and recommend training solutions
- Create an impact analysis process, particularly in course and qualification creation and course follow-up
- Reviews, updates, and enhances training materials (i.e., reference handbooks, departmental forms, training documentation) to ensure the effectiveness of training
- Analyze course evaluations to judge the effectiveness of training sessions and to implement suggestions for improvements
- Delivers required training programs to internal customers in a classroom setting
- Mentors Subject Matter Experts regarding training delivery and effectiveness
- Ability to perform needs assessments, develop training objectives
