YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the HR and Workforce Development Manager, the Training and Workforce Development Advisor, will be responsible for coordinating all internal training requests, driving learning and development initiatives whilst ensuing the project is meeting its Workforce Targets as per the project contract.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and book all necessary training requirements for the project through suppliers and the Training Academy.
  • Maintain training records to ensure staff are compliant with site requirements.
  • Implement training and development initiatives on the Project for staff and direct workforce.
  • Identify and implement strategies in accordance with local community, job access providers, working groups, local business, and local government on training and employment opportunities and benefits.
  • Oversee the management of subcontractors and their commitment to the Workforce Development targets.
  • Deliver in house training when required.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 3+ years in Learning and Development or Training role
  • Previous experience within the transport, construction, mining & resources, or engineering industries
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate training events and logistics
  • Ability to build positive relationships with employees, managers, subcontractors and external stakeholders across the business
