THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you passionate about supporting educational initiatives and ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes? We’re seeking a hands-on individual who excels in a workshop setting, seamlessly integrating with our collaborative training team. This position offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in facilitating training sessions by efficiently coordinating logistical aspects and maintaining our training facility.
As the Training Assistant, you’ll be responsible for organizing and managing tooling preparations for classes, ensuring that all necessary components are in good working order and set up prior to class commencement. In this role, you will also be responsible for the transport of students from their accommodation to our Training Facility using our 21 seater bus and coordinating the schedule.
Responsibilities will also include, ordering of consumables, obtaining quotes, maintaining a clean and safe workshop and liaising with your peers to ensure an efficient and productive working environment.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive and detail-oriented, capable of obtaining quotes, performing general labour duties, and keeping classes organized for upcoming training sessions. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical support for necessary tooling and training aids
- Transport students using our 21 seater bus
- Coordinate the bus run
- Design and upgrade training aids to meet the RTO standards
- Maintain cleanliness of training facilities
- Obtain quotes for training aids and equipment promptly
- Organize and maintain functional tool storage
- Coordinate repair of tools and equipment
- Ensure safety equipment, including eye wash stations, is maintained
- Assist in machine repair for training aids
- Conduct safety inspections with OH&S team
- Support reception/training administration when required
