Responsibilities:
The Training Specialist/Writer will support Barrow Wise’s State of Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) project and perform the following duties:
- Conduct the research necessary to develop and revise training courses and prepare appropriate training catalogs.
- Prepare all instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids) and student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms).
- Train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars.
An ideal candidate has the following:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Education/Training in the areas of computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Minimum of four (3) years of experience in information systems development, training, or related fields.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in developing and providing IT and end-user training on computer hardware and application software.
