We are seeking enthusiastic economists to join our Economist Practice team, which is a specialist area within International, Support and Programs and is proudly one of the strongest transfer pricing practices in Australia. We provide independent economic advice to internal ATO teams, with a focus on international tax, transfer pricing, base erosion and profit shifting issues.
Our economists provide ‘applied’ economic advice both at the macro (economy and industry wide) and micro (taxpayer) economic levels. Economists support the development of international taxation strategies and the resolution of cases and will work closely with other staff providing analysis of entity performance.
As a Transfer Pricing Economist, you’ll lead a dynamic and vibrant team operating in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of shaping the landscape of transfer pricing issues.
You will use your technical, written and interpersonal skills to identify, analyse and resolve transfer pricing and profit shifting risks. Your insights and judgment will support strategies that mitigate compliance risks across our client populations making it easier for taxpayer compliance.
You will manage, coach and mentor junior team members and support our training on economic or technical matters, including preparation and presentation of training programs.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Perth or Sydney CBD.
We embrace the strength of diversity – through our people and the experiences they bring with them. We provide reasonable accommodation to support candidates with disability participate in our recruitment processes and encourage people with disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.
