This position will be based in San Jose, California reporting to the Manager of Transfer Pricing (TP) for the Americas region in PayPal’s Tax Department. The individual would be part of the TP team. The TP team at PayPal develops global TP policies for the company, implements and maintains cost sharing structures, provides transfer pricing planning support, , forecasts transfer pricing payments for provision purposes, monitors foreign entities’ profitability, maintains intercompany agreements, prepares and reviews transfer pricing documentation, supports TP audits, and assists all business units on intercompany pricing related matters.

Job Requirements: REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2 to 4 years of related TP and/or accounting experience (Big 4 or Financials Services experience is a plus);
  • Strong analytical skills (hands-on excel modelling experience is required);
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision; and
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (SAP/BW experience is a plus)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager of TP with oversight of the TP function in the Americas region, including assistance with the maintenance of the TP structure and implementation of TP flows of business initiatives;
  • Work with business and members of the TP team to ensure that the TP policies are aligned with the corporate objectives and TP regulations;
  • Manage cost sharing and management services TP models, including coordination with accounting team for journal entry booking, and conducting annual cost center surveys and functional analysis interviews;
  • Together with the Manager of TP, be the regional TP contact for questions related to various business initiatives, intercompany pricing policies, TP models, intercompany agreement needs, etc.;
  • Manage the preparation of TP reports required under the relevant local rules, including preparing tested party financials;
  • Review intercompany cross-charges, intercompany agreements, and TP calculations prepared by Accounting and regional Shared Services teams to ensure transfer pricing policies are met; and
  • Assist with the preparation of documents for audit purposes.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $64000 to $156750
