Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Transformation Office here at Matalan. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and business transformation projects, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, optimising processes, and delivering exceptional customer & colleague experiences across our OMNI channel business.
Through comprehensive analysis of existing processes and systems, you will identify opportunities for improvement and translate business needs into actionable solutions. As a Business Analyst, you will support project managers, architects, and subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with objectives and best practices, whilst creating an engaging story of the change.

As our Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Work with business to facilitate understanding of the change and the project scope
  • Work cross functionally to bring to life any end to end impacts, influencing where need to ensure the change will be delivered and sustained
  • Analyse current business operations and processes to understand inefficiencies and areas of improvement.
  • Create clear & engaging user stories, setting out defined project requirements to support the development of the TOM framework
  • Lead on the creation of “As Is”/ “To Be” process mapping, whilst undertaking Gap Analysis between current and future and target operating model to identify areas of change and improvement
  • Facilitate the creation of clear SOP’s to be used throughout the business
  • Assist in the design and implementation of the TOM including process redesign and organisational restructuring
  • Create a clear picture of the impact for change to the business/ function with recommendations to mitigate
  • Carry out capacity & capability assessments to mitigate impact & risks
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the TOM, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Provide key support in the creation of a new Target Operating Model in the business
  • Working on both Waterfall and Agile projects.
