Description:

Swansea Bay University Heath Board are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced administration assistant with excellent communication and organisation skills to provide support to our friendly Transfusion Practitioner team.
The ability to work as part of a team is essential and you will need experience of working in an office environment. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential and previous experience working in a healthcare setting would be advantageous although not essential.
Dealing with telephone queries and directing to the most appropriate member of the team. Opening and acknowledging post within specified timescales and dealing with internal and external mail as appropriate. Requesting, receiving and dispatching case notes, in accordance with the Medical Records Policy, and ensuring that all case notes are returned to file as quickly as possible in a tidy condition - processing all via the Patient Administration System. Filing and scanning of staff training records. Booking staff training and updating attendance via ESR.
Creation of databases for recording of information as necessary for the administrative needs of the department. Assist with data input for local and national audits. Ensuring that own communication is effective and of a high quality and complies with Health Board and National standards. Printing and photocopying of training packs, assessment documents and certificates to an agreed level. Attend team meetings and take minutes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
