Description:

The Transit Analyst supports Lextran’s service planning, scheduling, performance reporting, and data analysis functions. The work includes the use of both quantitative and qualitative approaches to support transit planning projects, business intelligence, data collection, and research. The Transit Analyst is expected to organize data to help monitor existing service and recommend future service.
Lextran is seeking a Transit Analyst to assist with the development and planning of the transit network, data management and analytics, GIS mapping and other related planning activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, public administration or a closely related field, master’s degree is preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years in transit service planning and scheduling; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Proficiency with geographic information systems (GIS) is required.
  • Some working knowledge of Database systems (SQL, Access) and presentations.
  • Possesses valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
