Transit Operations Supervisor

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for two (2) permanent full-time Transit Operations Supervisors. These positions are responsible for the supervision of conventional and action bus operators, acting operations supervisors as well as servicing staff during any scheduled shifts ensuring the safe, reliable, operation of transit vehicles on prescribed routes, specialized service, charters and regional transit service. Guides staff to assist them in recognizing and taking appropriate steps to alleviate problem performance. Guides staff through the Work Expectation & Review process. Responsibility for conducting accident investigations. Observes and reports problems dealing with service levels, passenger loads, routing, equipment and bus stop maintenance, passenger and operator complaints. Take appropriate action to deal with problems affecting service; assists operators experiencing passenger conflict as required. Acts as the Senior Operations Supervisor in his absence.
