Provide significant project management skills in managing specified project(s).
Provide regular updates with assurance and oversight to various stakeholder groups within the network and to the managing director/business manager pathology collaboration team.
Build and maintain effective close relationships within the network delivering against the project milestones.
Provide mitigating actions in order to meet project timescales.
Take ownership and accountability of projects within the network.
Provide professional expert advice on project deployment.
Provide and receive highly complex information and communicate effectively to inform decision making at all levels
This role will be embedded within the L&SC Pathology collaboration based at Croston House, hosted under Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, accountable to all four trusts through the Pathology Collaboration.
The role itself will require liaising across all four trusts within the network delivering essential and exciting transformational change with significant benefits. Working towards the network priorities, bringing Pathology closer together, reaping the rewards along the way.
To provide leadership for a variety of projects that sit within the remit of the L&SC Pathology Network To support the network to deliver a quality sustainable pathology service across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Working closely with the Pathology Business Unit Manager, Service and Clinical Leads and Trust Leads and Senior Management team to deliver projects on time and in full.
To lead workshops to engage with stakeholders.
To provide leadership in order to drive and deliver results, inspiring others to be positive in their support of continuous service improvement. Challenging traditional ways of working within disciplines to ensure projects are implemented so the pathology service is fit for a future and supports trusts and ICB requirements.
To provide an agreed project plan for a variety of projects to support the vision of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Pathology Service.
Continually horizon scan for innovative solutions to ensure the pathology service is at the forefront of new technology and ways of working
As a leader, ensure that there are clear and effective arrangements in place to support the joint planning, monitoring and delivery of the network business case. To ensure that any project plan maintain and supports equity of access for all individuals and groups within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Pathology Service and that the project goals do not negatively impact on specific groups.
To take ownership of any procurements producing a specification with stakeholders and work closely with the Lancashire Procurement Cluster (LPC) to ensure a successful tender and award.
To provide professional expert advice on project deployment.
To provide and receive highly complex information and communicate effectively to inform decision making at all levels.
To input into the production of the risk register and analyse all risks associated with the project ensuring that all red rated risks have mitigation plans in place. To ensure the risk register is regularly updated
