POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is the front-line relationships manager charged with preserving, improving client and resource relationships. Alexa Translations partnerships are typically long term in nature and managing the existing client relationships and striving for an always improved client experience is the main focus.
The Senior Project Manager enables his team members to successfully manage their respective projects and acts as the escalation point and subject matter expert for any questions and guidance for his team as well as the main coordination between his team and other departments within Alexa.

EDUCATION:

  • College diploma, university degree or equivalent
  • Bilingual (English/French) mandatory requirement

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of experience in Localization Project Management
  • Technical, communications or SaaS industry experience
  • Experience dealing with middle managers and senior managers in client/partner relationships

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Everything we do in project management is done through the lens of providing exceptional customer experience. In order to accomplish this, the Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for the entire life cycle of the client experience for all projects in their area.

MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the production and continuous improvement of the team (Project Managers and Project Coordinators) that works with him/her. He/She also plays an integral part in the improvement and development of your processes and we expect a Senior project manager to always have an innovative point of view as to how things could be improved to deliver an even greater experience for all involved.

  • Supporting the Project Managers and Project Coordinators assigned to you with project issues and challenges (i.e. project issues, client issues, resource issues/selection, etc.)
  • Proactive problem solving to avoid client issues
  • Ensure client issues are being addressed and QA evaluations are being conducted when necessary - using the steps for process improvement above.
  • Training any new members assigned to your team.
  • Motivate your team to perform in accordance with company and the Linguistic Operations department goals
  • Lead by example to ensure culture is maintained and morale of the team and its partners are motivated and appreciated
