Responsibilities:
The Business Manager plans, directs, and supervises all technical and administrative aspects of the budgeting process for the department which includes planning and monitoring the capital and operational budget. This includes preparation of monthly variance reporting at the department level and monitoring and controlling capital. Assist leadership in building department budgets. Collaborates with PFS/Revenue Cycle team to manage payment methodologies. Accountable for correlation and expenditure of invoices. Analyze financial statement trends and report findings to appropriate Leadership. Evaluate the reimbursement of hospital programs to determine the profitability of service lines. Use cost/managerial accounting techniques to review and explain productivity. Prepare reports as needed, reviewing work for reasonability, and producing highly predictable, accurate results. Day-to-day responsibilities require good use of judgment regarding timely and appropriate communication with the hospital staff. Recognizes the need for teamwork and functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Direct supervisory of DBC. Assist in non-clinical management of the departments when needed.
