ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a transport related role
  • Must know and understand Chain of Responsibility
  • Knowledge of 1-Stop and Container Chain operating systems
  • Knowledge of Import and Export requirements at the port
  • Knowledge of Melbourne Port Precinct and Melbourne Suburbs
  • Good understanding of the Ports and Empty parks within Melbourne
  • Previous data-entry and administration experience with EXCEL
  • Willingness to learn transport operating system
  • Excellent communication and planning skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated teamworking skills and outstanding customer service skills
  • Good understanding of ADOUBLE/SUPER B routes throughout Melbourne

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our team at our Container Park Operations in Melbourne. You will be responsible for arranging the plan of the work for our fleet of trucks who handle FCL and MT Movements in and around the Port and surrounding suburbs.

THE KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • The key roles and responsibilities for this role include the following:
  • Plan the export containers with the fleet to ensure all delivered before cut off
  • Book slots and plan IMPORT collections to drop off at our parks
  • Book empty slots in Containerchain for the trucks to collect and drop MT’s
  • Liaise with the drivers on a daily basis to ensure all work is being carried out correctly
  • Liaise with the yard supervisors to ensure a smooth operation
  • Communication with Clients to advise plans
