KEY COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in people management
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure with good time management skills
  • Be a problem solver externally and internally
  • Knowledge of the food service industry
  • Possess AFM accreditation
  • A solid knowledge of HACCP and OH & S regulations including BFM legislation
  • Sound knowledge of routing systems and MFG PRO
  • Good product knowledge and new customers
  • MR/HR truck licence is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all deliveries are made in correct manner and time frame and monitor driver credits
  • Maintain vehicles ensuring services are carried out when and as required
  • Undertake staff evaluation, recruitment and training
  • Follow company procedures relating to any issues raised regarding drivers
  • Ensure wages, budgets and freight charges are kept within guidelines
  • Involve and receive feedback from supervisors daily/ongoing
  • Co-ordinate effective and efficient routing of all trucks and staff to ensure maximum delivery and service
  • Regular discussion with Sales Representatives in regards to customer requirements and driver feedback
  • Attend daily credit meeting. Identify credits, daily collection of invoice to be presented
