    About the Company
    Our client is an Australian-owned, national food distribution company based in Western Sydney.

About the Role

  • Managing a fleet of 50+ trucks
  • Ensure DIFOT is achieved
  • Schedule daily and weekly routes to optimize delivery times.
  • Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and Conduct regular safety audits on vehicles
  • Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs
  • Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
  • Regular one-on-one meetings with the Sales Representatives in regards to customer requirements and driver feedback
  • Attend daily credit meetings. Identify credits, daily collection of invoice to be presented

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum 3yrs of work experience as a Transport Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain management
  • Be AFM accredited (experience in the food industry is essential)
  • Sound knowledge of routing systems and logistics systems
  • MR/HR truck license is preferred
  • People management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Sharp, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
