Responsibilities:
As the Transport Network Operator, you will be engaged in activities within a specific area of focus while supporting the managing the transport system across New Zealand. The role monitors and responds to planned and unplanned events on and around the transport network, as well as providing accurate, relevant and timely traveller information to road users.
- Real-time monitoring of the transport network, using CCTV cameras and other sources
- Incident management, such as coordinating the response to crashes, breakdowns, storms and other unplanned events.
- Optimising traffic signals in real-time to help improve safety and efficiency.
- Providing travel information to help ensure customers are informed before and during their journeys.
- Helping manage the impact of planned activity such as roadworks and public events, by working with relevant parties.
- Responding to planned and unplanned events and optimising customer journey
