Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an excellent opportunity for a Transport Safety & Compliance Officer to based in our Brendale office in Brisbane. This role will be responsible for the network monitoring, reporting, investigation, and promotion of quality and safe work encompassing all domestic transport operations. This role is best suited to someone who possesses strong analytical skills, coupled with an enquiring mind and a determined focus on safety and transport compliance.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Working with the Transport and Distribution Centre teams to develop and promote awareness of Transport safety policies, processes, standards practice and resources.
  • Supports delivery to the Transport KPI’s, working directly between DC’s and Transport suppliers to manage service to target
  • Conduct regular audits within the audit cycle including risk and compliance management coupled with detailed audit reports, including findings and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Active maintenance of the Transport Incident Management and training and induction compliance system, including administration, reporting, investigation and consultation with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring safe work practices through domestic transport operations in compliance with company policy, safety standards, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all team members by ensuring compliance with all WHS safety programs and building a commitment culture throughout the team.

The successful candidate will bring the following experience and skills to the role:

  • Experience in the transport industry is essential, preferably in CoR, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Safety, Risk, and Audit.
  • Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle regulations, standards, practices, and policies.
  • Ability to effectively create and communicate safety and compliance procedures.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency would be ideal.
  • Tertiary certificate in WHS, Compliance, or equivalent desire
