WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Current “C” Class Drivers Licence
  • Previous transport scheduling experience
  • Highly developed organisational, planning and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE

This exciting new role will effectively arrange and manage daily operations including all transport coordination and associated operations. This primarily involves the supervision and coordination of employees and sub-contractors so that all resources are employed efficiently and that all activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with customer and legislative requirements.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organise and coordinate daily (planned and urgent) activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer requirements, procedures and relevant legislation
  • Compliance to, and enforcement of safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Supervise and plan employee schedules to ensure efficient loading, unloading and processing of freight
  • Monitoring of staff hours to ensure compliance with fatigue management and safety legislation as well as company policy
  • Liaise with customers, operational staff, administration staff and other stakeholders to ensure day to day operations run smoothly
  • Monitor and report to management on various KPI’s
