Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Programming, the Transportation Analyst is responsible to provide strategic guidance for the Branch in areas related to capital program planning, transportation planning and technology-based transportation infrastructure. The Analyst supports the prioritization of transportation investment decisions by identifying objectives, gathering information, considering options and recommending potential solutions. The Analyst may be involved in leading the delivery of key planning projects for the branch, often multi-disciplinary and technology-based in nature.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOUR RESUME):

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Mathematics, Planning, Business or Public Administration or related discipline;
  • Experience in policy analysis, research, development, writing and evaluation;
  • Experience planning and coordinating multi-disciplinary projects; and,
  • Experience in procurement and contract management.
