We are seeking a talented and dedicated leader to head up and lead business development activities and operations in the pursuit and development of roadway infrastructure projects in the state of South Carolina. You will be able to leverage our reputation in the industry to grow operations and develop new business. WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

We are looking for an organized, creative individual who can communicate and is accountable in a collaborative, team environment. The ideal candidate must be experienced in handling a wide range of technical, project management, and financial management related tasks in the engineering profession and be able to work independently. This person must enjoy the technical and administrative challenges of leading an engineering design group of talented people. Specific requirements include:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a public organization or engineering consulting firm in South Carolina.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects for SCDOT, maintain existing client relationships, and develop new client relationships.
  • Proven project and people management experience
  • Familiarity with market issues/concerns and public works experience
  • Familiarity with project development process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated business development ability
  • Professional Engineer license in South Carolina

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSCE from an ABET accredited College or University required

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You will be a part of the ms team and will work directly with all leadership positions within the company. This role would be located in Columbia or Charleston, South Carolina and would report to our Transportation Business Unit Senior Vice-President. You’d be responsible for overseeing all of the initiatives, strategic planning, and pursuit of complex civil projects. This role will be responsible for development and supervision of the South Carolina Transportation Team and will focus on quality control as well as establishing and fostering client relationships. This would include developing technical proposals, presentations, and budgets and all strategic pursuits. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead business development activities to achieve corporate sales goals in South Carolina.
  • Serve as the representative of the company for Transportation and engage with public and private entities at various professional, industry, and social functions.
  • Work closely with the leaders of our Business Units for project delivery and overall project performance.
  • Manage projects, ensure quality control processes are being adhered to, grow the team of technical staff, as needed.
