Description:
SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES
Executes assignments of a complex nature, requiring awareness of business sites operations, transport industry performance drivers, and network optimization fundamentals.
Completes the physical yard audit of the loaded and empty trailers at the warehouse daily
Provides reporting on trailer yard status daily to operations team members
Tenders emptied trailers to shipments. Will notify the operations team and the carriers of tendered trailer
Executes and provide Carriers with proper documentation and information exchange in the support of Kohler Import or Export compliance process requirements; supervises clerks in the performance of administrative duties and freight payment.
Interacts with Kohler sites and unrelated entities shipping into and receiving from the United States locations.
Communicates regularly with Carrier partners, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers and government agencies.
Creates processes and audits vendor invoices, international shipping documentation or IT system records for completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
May be responsible for coordination of all transport movements within a region, or may be accountable for individual brand channel for larger customer.
Participates in planning sessions, leads moderately complex projects in support of functional objectives.
Drives for efficiency, demonstrates the ability to resolve issues within parameters established by operating guidance/leaders.
Show problem-solving ability for day-to-day tactical or administrative issues.
Takes and successfully justifies appropriate risk under critical review by framing decisions in the operational context.
Demonstrates the capacity to understand department and business unit objectives.
As part of a team, demonstrates initiative and acts on innovative traits, such as inspiration, persuasion, peer leadership by example.
If assigned as Regional coordinator collaborates with operating site and planning entities to optimize movements within each operating area.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience Requierments
High School Diploma Required. Associates Degree preferred.
Ideal candidate will have 1-2+ years of work experience beyond High School, with some transportation experience preferred.
Must have strong computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge. Must have intermediate
to advanced Excel knowledge and experience with more than just basic Excel
Functionalities. Experience with SAP nice to have.
Ability to make decisions and act with initiative in a fast-paced environment.
