We are seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team!

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU BRING?

  • Your educational background including a University degree in Civil Engineering, or the equivalent, combined with several years of directly related experience is integral and will contribute to the success in this role.
  • Your application will demonstrate registration (or eligible to be registered within 2 years*) as a licenced Professional Engineer in Ontario. (Candidates not licenced as a Professional Engineer will be considered, however salary will be commensurate with experience and candidate will be hired as a Transportation Engineer in Training until a P.Eng. licence is acquired).
  • Your sound knowledge of civil engineering principles, methods and practices, specifically in Traffic Engineering and Transportation Engineering is required.
  • Excellent analytical skills; and knowledge of research methods and techniques combined with report writing skills is required.
  • Your proficiency in the use of a PC and computer applications and systems related to the work, including Synchro intersection analyses software is required.
  • Your experience with Macro, Meso and Microsimulation software would be an asset.
  • Your application will demonstrate an understanding of the City of Toronto’s traffic signal and roadway design standards including but not limited to traffic signal design, roadway design, and cycling facilities design.
