Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor (3rd shift, F key) to be based out of Atlantis Warehouse (Livermore, CA). The Transportation Supervisor will direct, coordinate, and supervise the transportation operations within an automotive manufacturer site located in Fremont. The key responsibilities of the Transportation Supervisor position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and customers
- Lead meetings with staff to communicate changes and train to processes
- Monitor staffing requirements, adjust levels based on need
- Delegate equipment and loads to shuttle as required
- Inbound / Outbound Yard Walks, (fleet & safety aspects)
- Maintain metrics as required by management and or customers
- Document, investigate and report equipment damages and incidents occurring on and off the road
- Ensure to communicate with all customers and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner
- Responsible for administrative duties of the area
- Assist in upholding DOT standards as it relates to Driver, Vehicle and Facility; including HAZMAT certification
- Ensure that working conditions are safe and conducted in a fair manner at all times
- Maintain written/computerized records and other forms of information
- Facilitate processing of Temp to TK conversion working directly with HR to reduce labor costs.
- Shift to Shift, Site to Site communication and collaboration
- Complete reports on time
- Participate, support and comply with all health, safety and 6S initiatives and requirements
- Issuance of disciplinary action in accordance to HR guidelines
- All other duties as assigned
