OUR ROLE

At Standard Chartered’s Treasury Modelling and Platforms team in Warsaw we drive the digitization of the Treasury globally. We develop solutions that allow for modelling of various scenarios such as USA - China war to check impact on our business. We work with data science experts to analyse and forecast the behaviour of various banking products. We build tools that help monitor interest rate… and much more!
Now, we are looking for people passionate about digital transformation to join our liquidity team which focuses on creating an innovative, best-in-class platform providing the bank with exceptional simulation, forecasting and sensitivity analysis capabilities.
Develop communication and collaboration skills in an international workplace. Work alongside Haskell programming team on cutting edge solutions dedicated to balance sheet optimization, stress testing and forecasting. Learn how to create interactive dashboards with MicroStrategy to support advanced data analytics and use Dataiku to build data pipelines across our toolkits.
Due to the innovative nature of your work, you will be eligible for Intellectual Property tax benefits. We offer flexi working – 2 days in office, 3 days from home and option to cater for special arrangements if required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build prototypes, design new functionalities and develop solutions for in-house liquidity platforms.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements.
• Perform testing to support Quality Assurance and check User Experience.
• Provide walkthroughs to our users to train them on new tools.
• Be proactive and engage in pan-treasury activities to diversify your experience.
• Collaborate closely with developers and users.
• Gather new skills and knowledge thanks to wide offer of training platforms available..

ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Liquidity cashflow mismatch
• LCR, NSFR and other regulatory metrics
• Liquidity ratios such as LDR, deposit concentration etc.
• Liquidity stress testing
• Understanding of Bank systems architecture
• ALM and Commercial Book products
• Exposure to trading book products
• Design an automated model
• Experience in using technical skills such as Python and VBA in data extraction and investigation.
• Build data pipelines using Dataiku
• Excellent analytical and Excel modelling / forecasting skills
• Experience in Business Intelligence tool such as MicroStrategy
