The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Treasury Specialist to join our team. The Treasury Specialist will report to the Manager, Treasury and will play a key role in leading the cash management and banking activities for the organization. This includes handling banking relationships. Account maintenance, reporting and analysis, and daily cash management activities. The Treasury Specialist will play a critical role in Treasury technology and process enhancement initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage cash inflows and outflows to ensure sufficient levels of cash are always available.
  • Forecast cash requirements for all bank accounts.
  • Support short term investment of excess cash.
  • Manage and deliver daily cash management and ensure timely execution of all Treasury transactions (wire payment, EFTs, internal transfers, etc).
  • Oversee bank account administration including opening / closing bank accounts as well as maintaining authorized signers and system users.
  • Setting up new bank accounts and completing credit applications on behalf of clients.
  • Preparing documentation to administer user banking access and account signatory changes.
  • Ensuring that banks are kept up to date with any relevant organizational changes, including changes of directors/officers, address, name, etc.
  • Managing user access to client online banking portals.
  • Assist in the implementation of new bank services and new technological enhancements.
  • Document cash management policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting with accounting for bank borrowings, bank covenant compliance, and interest expense/income, bank fees.
  • Verifying accuracy of cash transactions while also investigating and proposing possible resolutions for any discrepancies.
  • Acting as a key contact in treasury department to provide treasury service expertise and advice to internal team members as well as proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
  • Implementing necessary controls and policies to strengthen the treasury function.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business-related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of treasury and/or operations experience.
  • Computer skills: proficient in Excel required and Workday preferred.
  • Experience working in cash management and reconciliations.
  • Strong technical research, solid analytical ability, and the capability to effectively evaluate and implement solutions to cash management issues.
  • Ability to understand the business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Possess exceptional analytical reasoning skills and can formulate creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, organize and complete multiple complex activities, priorities, and assignments on a timely basis.
  • Superior collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/deadlines within a fast-paced environment and with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data.
  • Must be prepared to work additional hours to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual close deadlines.
  • Must be able to provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one.
